What makes Shawl Pins Rock?
Please don’t think about your Granny when we talk about shawls! Think chic and elegant, fun and fashionable, classy and sexy! These Beaded Shawl Pins are designed to be all that and more. This Fashion Costume Jewellery accessory is a very versatile piece for your wardrobe.
So how do we wear a shawl pin? There are lots of different ways and not only on shawls either. Traditionally they have been used to pin your shawl or cape into position so as you are not always pushing and tugging it into the right position. You certainly still can use them for this reason, enhancing a fashion scarf or shawl both in a fold over style or more complex tie.
Many fashion cardigans and vests now come without buttons. It is possible to use the shawl pin to hold the sides together. I love the oversized pins – they clink when you walk and I always get comments.
Try pinning them on a pocket in your jeans (front pocket only – they are a little uncomfortable to sit on!).
You can see from our photos here that they are superb as a decoration for a dress. Florence, pictured here, is dressed for a birthday party in a beautiful teal blue silk dress – she always looks great. Check out her mini shawl pin used artfully to maximise the best features of her dress and add a bit of bling.
Another possibility for the shawl pins is to pin them over your handbag handle and let them drape gracefully – this changes the look and feel of your outfit instantly.
The shawl pins come in different sizes, from the mini pin at about 7cm in width to the largest pin at around 9cm in width. each pin is decorated with glass beads and other accoutrements so pick a size that works for you – like dainty Florence or Over the Top Kay.
More shawl pins can be found here. There are lots of colours, styles and sizes shown here.
